That is what investors in this type of income product want. A steady monthly cash flow. Yes, I understand that there are people who do not care whether it is quarterly or monthly, but enough of the fund’s target group want monthly dividends. iShares runs a monthly dividend on the corresponding fund in the US and I was surprised when they launched in the EU that they chose quarterly dividends. I can still understand it as there is some admin and costs associated with it. For a small, newly launched fund, it was perhaps a reasonable choice to go for quarterly dividends and see how the fund is received.

WINC is a success for iShares by EU and UCITS standards. The fund has around 600 million euros in assets under management. Compared to funds in the US that have billions of dollars in assets under management, it’s not bad, but here in the EU it’s a relatively good deal after 2 years.
I heard and came across WINC early this year and started loading it up, as I see it performing well.
