I own Axfood (OMX Stockholm, AXFO) and think it’s a fantastic company. It’s a steady business that keeps going through thick and thin. Operationally, they perform at the top of the class among this type of company. Significantly better key figures than ICA, Costco, Ahold, etc.
This operational performance has resulted in a return in line with the stock market index over the past 10 years. I am happy with that. I do not own Axfood with the intention of achieving some kind of powerful outperformance. I own Axfood because it is a good business that performs steadily over time. In general, investments in large, healthy companies tend to give a good return in the long run.

Anyway. The image above shows Axfood in blue in the graph. On the left you see slightly different performance. Blue annual average total return of 8.31 percent over the last 10 years.
I know that there are cool companies that have performed better over the past 10 years. I know that and I’m still happy with my strategy. I continue to invest in large, healthy companies that pay good dividends. Over time, it will work great for me and I have no doubt that it will work in the future.
Recently, I snagged a few more Axfoods at just over 269 kronor each.
*December has been lot of travels, both work related and personally, so its been bit dry with blog posts. Hopefully I can come with some more updates, before wrapping 2025 and looking into 2026.
If I do not post again before Christmas, then…
**I wish you all readers a very happy christmas and happy vacation**
